GIVEAWAY: Granite Gear Crown2 UL Backpack

By on February 24, 2017

One of the highlights of last summer’s Outdoor Retailer show was the new Granite Gear Crown2 60L ultralight backpack. We were pretty excited to get our hands on an early sample of this beauty, which doesn’t hit the stores until later this spring. We’re continuing to put it thru its paces, and will have a full review coming very soon. Meanwhile, the fine folks at Granite Gear and Darby Communications have been kind enough to give us another Crown2 to share with you!

Check out some of this pack’s amazing features:

To create this new pack, Granite Gear’s Sr. Director of Design & Development Michael Meyer and co-founder Dan Cruikshank collaborated to unite the trail-tested features of the original Crown with key design changes to further improve user experience.

“We received a lot of great feedback on the [original] Crown, which we boiled down to key revisions,” Meyer says. “By preserving the Vapor Trail collection’s essence and listening to our customers, we have created what is sure to be an even bigger fan favorite in the Crown2.”

The Crown2 boasts Granite Gear’s patent-pending, fully customizable RE-FIT hip belt, and the new Vapor-Current Mark 2 suspension system. This new system works in combination with the molded foam back panel, ventilation channels and durable laminated mesh to assist in the ventilation of heat and moisture—without shifting the pack’s center of gravity.

Even more great features:

♦ Dual density shoulder harness with load-lifter straps
♦ Dual large hip belt pockets with DWR zippers
♦ Removable lid with DWR treated zipper
♦ Roll-top main compartment
♦ Internal hydration sleeve with port
♦ Side stretch and front mesh pockets
♦ Available in short, regular and long torso sizes
♦ All under 2.25 pounds!

Now for the good part…

We’re giving a Crown2 away! But the only way for a chance to get your hands on this beauty is to attend a PCT: Oregon presentation. We’re touring the Northwest and showcasing the new guidebook, Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon. Just attend a presentation near you, get the lowdown on hiking the PCT in Oregon, and enter to win the Crown2 backpack. Just visit our Facebook events page for info on where we’ll be. We’ll be adding more events in the coming weeks, so if you don’t see one near you, check back soon. You can also suggest an event in your area—just use our contact form. We’ll award our winner just in time to hit the trail this summer!

THE FINE PRINT: Contest is open and limited to all attendees of PCT: Oregon presentations in Oregon, Washington and California. Signup for the PCT: Oregon monthly newsletter is required for entry. No purchase necessary to enter, however some events may charge an admission fee.

One (1) entrant will be selected at random to receive one (1) Granite Gear Crown2 60L ultralight backpack in the size of their choosing. The winner will have 48 hours to respond with a size request and valid shipping address, or a new winner will be selected at random. Prize cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted.
