New Resource Pages Added
As this site continues to come together in anticipation of the release of Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon later this fall, several new resource pages have been added to help hikers plan their PCT adventures this summer. More pages and resources will be added in the coming weeks and months, as well as updates on trail news, new gear offerings and guidebook updates. In the meantime, check out what’s new!
This resource page covers the most reliable and widely-available selection of topographic maps covering the PCT through Oregon, including Halfmile, Forest Service, National Geographic and Green Trails maps. Some are better suited for big trip planning, while others are more ideal for carrying on trail.
Hiking the PCT through Oregon is generally hassle-free with regards to special permits—just fill out your free wilderness area registration forms at some trailheads. There are a few exceptions, so check out this resource page for info on the handful of locations require special-use backcountry permits.
Here is all the information you need to help you know where you can score a tasty burger and icy beverage near the trail, pitch your tent in a convenient campground, take a shower, or send yourself a resupply package with all your favorite goodies to keep you going through the miles.
