This directory is here to help Pacific Crest Trail section- and thru-hikers connect with Oregon Trail Angels. Services include shuttle transportation between trailheads and local towns, resupply holds, shower and laundry facilities, and limited accommodations. Please be aware that these services are intended exclusively for long-distance hikers. Dayhikers and weekend backpackers should seek assistance from other sources. Services vary among providers.
Once you know approximately when you may be in need of Trail Angel assistance, it is recommended that you contact them in advance to ensure their availability, as they like to hike, too. Please show your appreciation for Trail Angels and the services they provide by respecting their vehicles and property, and furnishing the requested fee or donation.
Services: Showers, guest bedroom, shuttle to groceries. Resupply handling; inquire directly. Maximum three hikers at one time; two night limit.

Father Scott Carter
Services: Emotional, inspirational, spiritual and philosophical conversation over coffee, beer, or a meal. Available to officiate weddings, share Communion, give trailside blessings, or pray. May be able to connect hikers with local accommodations, transportation, or other basic services.
Meetings: Available in Ashland or at Callahan’s Lodge.

Transportation: Shuttle service between Ashland and Callahan’s Lodge (I-5), Green Springs Summit (OR-66), Fish Lake Resort (OR-140), Mazama/Rim Villages (Crater Lake NP/OR-62), Dunsmuir, CA (I-5), and trailheads in Trinity Alps, Russian Wilderness and Marble Mtns.

Transportation: Shuttle service between PCT crossing at Green Springs Summit (OR-66) and property. Limited grocery/resupply runs to Ashland; inquire ahead of visit.

Liana Ottaviano & Peter Werner
Services: Showers (towels, soap, and toiletries provided), laundry (loaner clothing available), phone charging, WiFi, hiker box, and sleep space in the yard at Bend residence 16 blocks from downtown. Max accommodation is six hikers; two night limit. Use feet-washing station before entering house. Please respect neighbors; quiet hours are 10pm – 7am. No partying. Home has a deaf-blind cat that is not permitted outside.
Transportation: Shuttle service between Bend REI and residence. Limited transportation to/from trailheads at Elk Lake (OR-46), McKenzie Pass (OR-242) and Santiam Pass (US-20); inquire in advance.

Oregon Trail Angel Groups
If you don’t see a Trail Angel in this directory in the area you are in need of assistance, or they are unavailable to assist, check one of the local PCT Trail Angel groups. Keep in mind that assistance requests are frequent during the busy summer hiking season. It is best to reach out for assistance as soon as you know you’ll be in need. Last-minute requests can be difficult to obtain.
